In the context of increasing the incidence of COVID-19 cases, as well as the accentuated cooling of the weather, ENGIE Romania responds to an acute need signaled by the partner association, Dăruiește Viață, to build a modern area inside the Elias University Emergency Hospital in Bucharest for the epidemiological triage of patients in need of treatment.
Epidemiological triage is a mandatory preliminary step in taking over medical cases treated at Elias University Emergency Hospital (a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, cancers and other chronic diseases), the creation of a modern space being an urgent need to prevent the spread of the virus among patients with an increased risk of developing complications due to infection, but also to create them, in the context of winter temperatures, a modern waiting space.
Through the project partner, Dăruiește Viață, ENGIE Romania came to the aid of the patients treated in this medical center with a contribution of 107,000 euro.
Thus, from the second half of December, the chronically ill who need treatment in the Elias University Emergency Hospital benefit from adequate triage conditions. The triage unit, of approximately 110 square meters, provides a waiting room and two harvesting rooms, respecting separate circuits for patients with COVID-19 symptoms and those who do not have specific symptoms.
