The Minister of the Environment, Tanczos Barna, announces that on April 28 the registration of installers in the Green House (Casa Verde pentru Fotovoltaice) program, which provides financing for the installation of photovoltaic panels on homes, will begin. Registration of natural persons will begin on May 5, with the minister announcing that the IT application for this program is ready, according to News.ro.

“In no case is it more difficult, I understand the anger of some installers who no longer decide who should benefit from this financing. The program starts with the registration of installers, on April 28, with the launch of the first call for funding requests on May 5, after which, every other day, it will be launched, for each region separately. We are relieving pressure on the computer system so that not the whole country applies at the same time, but the applications, funding requests are uploaded by the beneficiaries by region. The budget for the regions is established proportionally to the number of individual houses tabulated for each region separately,” said the Minister of the Environment, on Wednesday, in a press conference.

He pointed out that last year the installers were the ones who collected the requests, determined who was loaded into the system and in what order, and even who would or would not have the right to receive funding.

“It was a erroneous model that we had to complete because it was partially European funded and where the rules were set from the start and they couldn’t be changed during the game. We have closed that call for projects. (…) This year the identity card and the extract from the land register are uploaded, these are the two documents with which any application for financing can be uploaded, they must prove at the same time that they have no debts to the local budget and the budget of state, that’s all,” the minister added.

Last year, the Environmental Fund Administration signed over 40,000 contracts under this program.
