Customers who want to install photovoltaic panels on their roof are starting to give up waiting for non-reimbursable funds and prefer to invest their own funds, in order to hasten the moment of starting their own energy production. At the same time, many clients, with no knowledge of the energy market, lose time and money because of consultants who promise them “things that don’t exist”, said Octavian Roșca, Managing Partner of VOLT.

“The biggest opportunity is given by these European and government fundings. It’s just that we’re seeing quite a few implementation issues. We see that there is already a transition phenomenon whereby the beneficiaries prefer to invest from their own funds and, unfortunately, the world is becoming more and more reluctant to these non-reimbursable funds. Customers need to lower their electricity costs now, not in two or three years,” Roșca said, during the conference “New wave of renewables”, organized by Energynomics.

VOLT has built or has over 70 solar panel installation projects underway for both residential and industrial customers. According to Roșca, for some clients who are not familiar with the energy market choosing price over efficiency is a big challenge.

In addition to rising prices, companies that install photovoltaic panels face another difficulty, namely the lack of labor and the increasing delivery times of equipment, which vary between 4 and 6 months. For this reason, VOLT tries to stock materials and equipment, but there are situations where some components are no longer produced.

“There is this elephant in the room, this pseudo-wave of renewables, which comes with many opportunities, but also with many risks for the beneficiaries and for the companies that deal with the installation of solar panels, due to the logistical difficulties and those caused by lack of labor force. I think the solution lies in the management of these risks,” Roșca said.

The conference New wave of renewables was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners: ABB, BCR, Eaton Electric, EnergoBit, EnergoPower, Enevo Group, Phoenix Contact, Photomate, REI Group, Simtel, Volt, Wiren.
