Cogeneration – industry, households and the national energy system (EBC, June 26)
26 Jun 2019 @ 09:00 - 13:00
Wednesday, on June 26, from 09:00, at the Cesianu Racoviță Palace, in Bucharest (5 C. A. Rosetti Street), energynomics.ro invites you to yet another edition of our informal Energy Breakfast Club meetings this year, dedicated to experts and decision makers in the energy industry: Cogeneration – industry, households and the national energy system. Outdated capacities for electricity and heat in the industry, in the context of constantly rising prices, are the main arguments for predicting more investment in small cogeneration power plants in ever more and more industrial plants. Natural gas plants are increasingly being seen as the ideal solution for reducing the dependence of the national electro-energetic system on coal-fired power plants. More efficient, more flexible, with lesser environmental impact – all of these encourages many powerful groups to advance projects all across Romania. The prospects of district heating in large urban centers remain much less clear, especially in Bucharest, which is exposed to collapse, even though, once again, it was avoided in the 2018-2019 winter. In this respect, with or without a cogeneration bonus scheme, the main factor of influence is the needed investment for repairs and for the reduction of environmental impact. Come to the Energy Breakfast Club to discover who moves the Romanian projects in cogeneration! a
