Hydrogen Project – what is Romania up to
10 Apr 2024 @ 10:00 - 14:00
On Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, at Marriott Hotel in Bucharest, (Salon B), starting at 10:00, Energynomics invites you to a conversation in which we bring together all the perspectives necessary to understand what the opportunities of the moment are in the Hydrogen Project!
Since last summer, Romania has had a law on the integration of hydrogen from renewable sources in industry and transport. This creates new obligations for fuel suppliers and industrial fuel consumers to increase the share of fuel from non-biological renewable sources and low-carbon hydrogen.
At the same time. The National Energy Regulatory Authority must approve the rules on the issuance, form, content, transfer, trading, surrender, and cancellation of renewable hydrogen supply certificates and low-carbon hydrogen supply certificates.
The Ministry of Energy has launched the draft “National Hydrogen Strategy” for debate, and through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Romania has allocated 148 million euros for 100 MW of planned electrolysis capacity for companies interested in developing renewable hydrogen production capacity.

BOOK LAUNCH
At the end of the conference we invite you to the launch of the book “Discussions the Hydrogen Energy Vector”, published by Didactic and Pedagogical Publishing House in the collection “Academica energie” by the authors Ioan Iordache, Dumitru Chisăliță, Hans Marius Shuster, Cristian Călin and Oana Dumitrean.
The book explains what hydrogen is and how it can be used, in simple, understandable language, and fulfils the mission of spreading science in a context where the European Union is proposing to its members a transition to new hydrogen technologies amid the energy crisis caused by the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine.
Structured in chapters that clearly explain how it is obtained and what are the new areas in which hydrogen will be used in the near future, “Discussing the Hydrogen Energy Vector” does not position itself as a scientific work, but rather aims to respond to the need for basic education of the general public in order to be prepared for new European policies.
PARTICIPATION
The conference access was closed due to full capacity.
This conference is organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners: Elektra Renewable Support, Horváth.
