THEMES

We will invite experts from the energy sector, mainly representatives of Romania’s most active companies in the energy sector, as well as representatives of professional associations in the field, along with officials from the energy and environment regulators (ANRE, ANRM, Ministry of Energy).

As the tables turn, new rules emerge and new opportunities rise on the most valuable single advantage utilities can build upon: their strong customers base. Diversification of services is one answer, while smart integration of the value chain is another. But the landscape looks different from different pinnacles! Thus, new services delivered to homes and businesses – such as energy management, integrated distributed energy resource to include energy efficiency, demand response, distributed generation and energy storage, electric vehicle related services (charging stations, fleet management and EVs as storage), microgrids, energy aggregation and market participation and so on – are at the same time here and far away. However, are there any common grounds for understanding the current status quo?Join Energy Breakfast Club for an open discussion on:

  • What are the new keywords for the Romanian utility companies?
  • What is the room for manoeuvre in terms of dynamic pricing for utilities?
  • European and global trends and their replicas in Romania
  • What roles can technology companies play in the future of utilities?
  • Are the regulatory bodies ahead or lagging behind companies in this march to unknown?
