Renewables – support for the green promise (November 3)
03 Nov 2016 @ 09:00 - 13:00
Thursday, on November 3rd, from 9 A.M. at Cesianu Racoviţă Palace, in Bucharest, energynomics.ro invites you to another informal meeting for the experts and decision makers in the energy industry: Energy Breakfast Club – Renewables – support for the green promise. Romanian renewable sector in brutally rushed out of its first stage of development – accelerated, with big projects, of national relevance, encouraged by an incredible generous public support. Green energy is already an important player in the national energy system, and the authorities insist on their sustained interest for even stronger growth in the coming decades. Beyond sufferings provoked by the unexpected withdrawal of public financial support, the renewables sector is pushed ahead by technological developments, and new entrepreneurs are willing to take risks drafting new projects for new beneficiaries, on new financial grounds. THEMES
We will invite over 50 experts from the energy sector, mainly representatives of Romania’s most active companies and professional associations in the field (RWEA, RPIA, ARBIO etc), altogether with high officials from the regulatory bodies in energy and environment (ANRE, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration).
This second stage in Romanian renewable sector evolution seems to be characterized by cautious developments, through small projects locally, less dependent on ample support schemes. We will discuss the situation of the electricity and heat generation from renewable sources and we will gather responses – from entrepreneurs, from the competent authorities, as well as from large companies already operating in the market.
