Smart cities – what we can do today
13 Apr 2022 @ 10:00 - 14 Apr 2022 @ 14:00
On Wednesday and Thursday, 13-14 April 2021, at the Automobile Bavaria headquarters in Bucharest, Energynomics proposes a meeting to discover which solutions are applicable at the moment to intelligently solve the problems of Romanian cities!
Transport, warming and pollution are the main issues of concern to city dwellers all over the world. Add to this the fast, simple and secure exchange of information between citizens and the authorities responsible for the smooth running of all public services, from tax, cleaning, education and health to security and protection.
We aim to bring forward experts and companies from whom you can learn more about the technologies and behaviours and projects that will change your life in the years to come!
DAY 1 – 13 April – Sustainable cities
Technology providers offer solutions for centralised or individual approaches, targeting public institutions or large utilities, but also end users. They are equipment and products, they are applications or software packages, they are services or business models that can contribute, one by one, to greater convenience, greater efficiency or better control of resource consumption.
Increasingly, artificial intelligence and digitalisation are being incorporated into everyday life. How do we balance growing energy and communication needs, the obligation to renovate/replace outdated systems, with reducing environmental impact? We aim to bring forward experts and companies from whom you can learn more about the technologies and behaviours and projects that will change your life in the years to come! In 2021, not only did sales of green cars keep up a very fast pace of growth, but so did the installation of charging stations, most of them fast charging stations.

DAY 2 – 14 April – Electric mobility
But it’s not just cars that are contributing to the electric revolution; electric bikes are on the rise, and electric buses have become a reality in several major Romanian cities. Next comes the electrification of heavy truck fleets, a segment where major manufacturers announce new models every year and fleet owners are increasingly interested in carbon-free transport.
The development of the charging infrastructure has accelerated visibly, with more municipalities entering the market, and promises spectacular developments in the coming years. New developments in the area of battery efficiency are still pending, but many companies are coming up with advanced charging control and customer management software solutions.
Every day, the market is getting busier; we aim to identify together who are the most active players and what are the main opportunities not to be missed in 2022!
