On April 14, from 4 pm to 6 pm, Energynomics invites you to Spring Cocktail, a traditional event which for the first time will happen in an ONLINE CONFERENCE format this year!

We aims at discussing the current business trends in the energy industry and the connected sectors, but also the options that companies in the industry have for managing the impact of the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. We will not ignore the macro-trends and priorities as reflected in the policies of the European Union, but we will put them in context, to find out from experts and decision-makers how they weight the different, sometimes divergent, objectives in their business strategies for 2020.

“The European Union, and the world as a whole, in fact, is rapidly embracing some new directions, based on what for some years now we were used to call “new trends”. Climate awareness is the first among these and it seems like everything else will depend on how environmentally friendly each action and project promise to be. Access to money from international organizations, but also from the largest financial groups, is already conditioned by having green values embedded in the business models. Digitalization and automation – as the main tools for increased productivity – constitute another focus of the moment, more and more accepted and understood as a possible solution to lack of manpower in various industries, too. Increased trans-national cooperation is yet another characteristic of how the businesses are run at the present, and it seems to be the case even more for the near future.

Romania is part of this new world and ready to adopt not only the proper national polices in respect to the green energy transition, but also some new support schemes and financial programs to encourage it. Thus, it becomes even more important for the local and foreign companies to discover together more and sooner about where Romania is heading in terms of fiscal regime, legal framework, and strategic options for energy. Learning all these from knowledgeable experts and sharing thoughts with peers who have already tested the Romanian flavor is a privilege. And that is what Spring Cocktail is all about!”
