Eximprod plans photovoltaic projects of more than 100 MW for 2024, in various stages of execution.
“The energy transition is here, whether we like it or not. There are enough legislative challenges but it is also an opportunity for companies in the field and for Romania in general to take advantage of the funds available”, said Dragoș Vasile, Member of the Board of Directors of Eximprod Group, during the “More renewables for Romania” conference, organized by Energynomics.
The company also builds transformer stations and is accredited to test PV parks.
Photovoltaic panel installation companies and Romania as a whole have a very good opportunity to use the funds made available by the EU and the government to develop this sector.
He added that, given the competition from cheap but not always quality parts and equipment from China, companies wishing to invest in PV panels need to due diligence on parts and equipment suppliers.
“The public, through prosumers, has shown enthusiasm in the second wave of renewables and it is our role as professionals to take it forward,” Vasile said.
Eximprod was founded in 1994 and employs over 400 people.
