The Ministry of Energy extended from May 31 to June 15, 2022, at 17:00, the deadline for submitting projects for PNNR funds for investments for the installation of new electricity generation capacities from renewable sources of wind and solar energy, according to a press release posted on the institution’s website.

“Investing in new capacity to generate electricity from renewable sources of wind and solar energy, with or without integrated storage facilities, is a priority for us. That is why we have signed the order to amend the specific guide – Specific conditions for accessing European funds related to PNRR related to Investment Measure I.1 within Component C.6 Energy – Pillar I. I am confident that many projects will be submitted, because there is interest,” said Virgil Popescu, Minister of Energy.

The Specific Guide, which can be accessed on the website of the Ministry of Energy, under the heading “European Financing – PNRR”, aims to support investments in new capacities for electricity generation from renewable sources of wind and solar energy, with or without integrated storage, with deadline for completion of projects, respectively connection to the network – June 2024.

The maximum amount of state aid granted for wind energy under the installed MW scheme is: 1.3 million euro / MW – for installed capacities between 0.2 MW (exclusive) and 1 MW (inclusive) and 650,000 euro / MW – for installed capacities of more than 1 MW.

For solar energy, the maximum is 750,000 euros / MW – for installed capacities between 0.2 MW (exclusive) and 1 MW (inclusive), and 425,000 euros / MW – for installed capacities greater than 1 MW.

The maximum aid that can be granted for an investment project cannot exceed 15 million euros per company, per investment project.
