The Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet, said on Digi24’s that he hopes that the Casa Verde program will be unblocked in a few days or a few weeks and that all the deadlines in this program will be extended. The program is currently blocked following court action by installers challenging their removal from approved installer lists.

Almost 90,000 families were selected for the installation of photovoltaic panels within the Casa Verde program.

“It is the most important thing for me that all those families who are waiting to install photovoltaic panels on their houses benefit from this financing. At this moment, the Oradea Court of Appeal has suspended the program. It is a decision that the Environmental Fund Administration has appealed,” said Fechet on Wednesday evening, according to digi24.ro and Financialintelligence.

“My hope is that this process, which is extremely simple – where an installer claims they were not notified by email about a clarification request, the AFM says that although they sent that email, they did not received the answer to that request – my hope is that at the first term the court will decide and at that moment we will know one of two things: either the installer is not right and the program will continue, or he will be right even then, with the respective company included in the program , again we will be able not to lose a single day and the Romanians will benefit from these investments as quickly as possible,” he explained.

In Romania, 5 such litigations are pending.

“Being a similar case, I am convinced that the decisions handed down by the court will be identical. They are not complex processes. I hope to end this situation as soon as possible. It’s a court decision. Any company, any individual has the right to go to court,” said the minister.

“I cannot comment on the decision of a court, but at the same time I cannot help but think about the almost 90,000 beneficiaries, entire families, who were hoping to see these photovoltaic panels installed as soon as possible. I hope it will be a matter of days or weeks until we clarify this situation,” said Fechet.
