The electricity market operator OPCOM has published the list of the 21 companies with which contracts were signed after the completion of the first auction related to the contract for difference (CfD) mechanism, according to e-nergia.ro.

Thus, 21 companies that will develop wind and photovoltaic electricity production capacities have signed contracts with OPCOM, after winning the first CfD auction organized last month. The total capacity is about 1,500 MW, and the companies that won the auction will benefit from the CfD scheme for 15 years.

The strike prices for wind are between 54.5 euros/MWh and 77.3 euros/MWh, and those for photovoltaics between 45 and 54.1 euros/MWh. The largest wind project to benefit from the CfD scheme is a 245 MW project by a company with Romanian shareholders, Radramo Power. The strike price is 64.9 euros/MWh, and the estimated commissioning date is January 2028. The largest photovoltaic project to benefit from the CfD scheme is a 125 MW park, a project by the company Heliowin, controlled by the Israeli investor Econergy. The park is also estimated to be commissioned in January 2028. The strike price with which it won the auction is 49.4 euros/MWh.
