Hidroelectrica achieved a net profit of 1.74 billion lei after the first three months of 2023, 34% higher than that of the corresponding period of 2022, according to the data of Fondul Proprietatea, the company’s only minority shareholder. The increase in net profit occurred following an increase in revenues by almost 37% compared to the first quarter of 2022, according to e-nergia.ro.
At the same time, Romgaz recorded, in the first quarter of this year, a consolidated net profit of 970 million lei, down by 0.98%, i.e. by 9.6 million lei, compared to the similar period in 2022.
Compared to the last quarter of 2022, the net profit is higher by 214.01%, considering that in the last three months of last year it was affected by the solidarity contribution introduced at the end of 2022, according to the financial report sent to the Stock Exchange on Friday, according to Agerpres.
The turnover of the group was, between January and March 2023, of 2.909 billion lei, down by 25.9%, respectively by 1.017 billion lei, compared to that achieved in the first quarter of 2022.
Instead, the net profit of SN Nuclearelectrica decreased by 6.4% in the first quarter of the year, compared to Q1 2022, to 766.5 million lei, according to e-nergia.ro.
The total revenues obtained by Nuclearelectrica from the sale of electricity amounted, in the first three months, to 2.1 billion lei, an increase of 13% compared to the 1.84 billion in the first quarter of 2022, despite the fact that, this year, the company is obliged by law to sell first the centralized procurement mechanism (MACEE) a large part of the production at the capped price of 450 lei/MWh.
