Ford announced on Tuesday the gradual resumption of production of vehicles and engines at its main plants in Europe, starting with May 4, while the plant in Craiova will resume operation in stages, in a single shift, both in Vehicle Production Section, as well as in the Engine Production Section.
According to a Ford Romania press release, employees will be notified by their supervisors and team leaders if they need to come to work. People who do not come to work will remain technically unemployed, based on a formal decision.
“The company has prepared a comprehensive package of measures, but, above all, it appeals to the sense of responsibility and discipline of employees for their proper and correct implementation,” the statement said, according to Agerpres.
At the same time, temperature scanners will be installed at each access gate to identify people with fever. In order to protect all those who work in the Ford Craiova plant, people with a high body temperature will not be allowed access to the plant.
