The net flow of foreign direct investments registered the value of 5.266 billion euro last year, of which 5.546 billion euro were equity investments, informs the National Bank of Romania.

The NBR mentions that the level is the result of the sum of the contribution to the capital of the companies, amounting to 2.973 billion euros, with the profit reinvested in the enterprises, worth 2.573 billion euros.

Net credit from foreign investors has a negative value, of -280 million euro. The NBR specifies that the value of the net loans received from foreign investors was lower than the value of the net credits granted to them, according to Agerpres.

The balance of foreign direct investments at December 31, 2018 reached the level of 81.124 billion euros, of which: 57.479 billion euros equity, including reinvested profit (70.85%) and 23.645 billion euros net credit received from foreign investors (29.15%).
