Fondul Proprietatea, as a minority shareholder, has requested that the National Company Nuclearelectrica (SNN), which manages the two nuclear reactors of the Cernavoda plant, to allocate all net profit in 2016 and pay additional dividends amounting to 452 million, the remaining reserves from previous years. The proposal appears on the agenda of the General Meeting of Shareholders of April 24, according the Convening notice sent by the company to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
According to the company, “Property Fund called for the introduction of two additional items on the agenda of the AGM on 24 April. Thus, following the request of the shareholder Fondul Proprietatea, Nuclearelectrica must allocate for dividend 107,24 million lei from the result of last year, or 99% of net profits, and allocate an additional 452 million lei from the profits made in previous years and undistributed”, it is shown in the Convening notice.
Romanian State holds a nearly 82.5% of the shares of SNN, while the Property Fund has about 9.1%, while the remaining stake is held by other investors.
