Next week, IFC and Garanti Bank Romania will sign the first renewable energy loan agreement with a bank, supported by IFC in Romania. The new credit line will be used to finance renewable energy projects and the SME sector.
The renewable energy domain is one with the potential to create economic opportunities for Romanian companies and entrepreneurs, while contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions. This agreement will lead to a significant expansion of the cooperation between the two institutions and it is a clear signal to Garanti Bank Romania’s determination to support key sectors of the local economy.
