Romania imported, in the first seven months of 2020, a quantity of usable natural gas of 1.116 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), 0.4% (4,000 toe) higher than in the similar period of 2019, according to centralized data by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Domestic natural gas production was, in the mentioned period, of 4.221 million toe, 11.3% (534,600 toe) below that of January-July 2019, according to Agerpres.

The main primary energy resources between January 1 and July 31, 2020 totaled 17.7 million tons of oil equivalent, down 2.647 million toe compared to the same period last year.

Domestic production amounted to 10.322 million tons, down 1.472 million toe.
