The reduced work program “Kurzarbeit”, applied in Germany, will be introduced in Romania, under the title ”Flexible work program”. The executive has established that it will subsidize 75% of the difference between the normal salary and the one for reduced working hours for employees, and the companies that can benefit from the scheme are those with a decrease in turnover by 10% compared to the same month last year, reveals the economic recovery plan, according to Profit.ro. The document will be officially presented today, in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis.
According to the work program applied in the German economy and called “Kurzarbeit”, or “reduced work”, employees work less for a certain period. The employer and the employee decide the percentage by which the working time decreases, the employee receives the salary proportionally, which should be exempt from taxes, and the state partially takes over the difference up to the full salary.
