The central depositary, the state institution that operates the post transactioning for the Bucharest stock Exchange, announced that majority stakes and control shares owned by the state in various energy companies have been trasferred from the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Energy, according to economica.net.
The overall value of the nine companies moved by the state is worth, according to today`s market capitalization,about 10.2 billion euro, about 35% of the overall BSE capitalization, while the states’ shares are worth about 4.8 billion euro.
As such, the Emergency Ordinance 86-2014 was applied, transferring share packages of 81.27%of Nuclearelectrica, 48.78% of Electrica, 70% of Romgaz, 44.69% of Rompetrol Rafinare, 59.62% of Oil Terminal, 58.71% of Conpet Ploieşti and 20.63% of OMV Petrom (SNP).
State also owns majority stakes in companies that operate natural gas transport via national pipes- Transgaz- with 58.5% and electricity – Transelectrica (58.7%).
