The Competent Authority for Regulating Offshore Petroleum Operations (ACROPO) has given the green light for work start for the Lukoil and Romgaz project at the Black Sea.
“In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 165/2016 on the safety of offshore oil operations, as subsequently amended and supplemented, following the evaluation of the documentation regarding the excavation project of the Trinity 1X exploration well, the EX-30 Trident perimeter, ACROPO transmitted to Lukoil Overseas Atash. B.V. its acceptance for the start of drilling operations. It is the first project we evaluated on the offshore area of deep waters, a real challenge for ACROPO specialists. We look forward to the next project,” according to Acropo.
The Scarabeo 9 platform will begin drilling in the Trident perimeter, explored by Lukoil and Romgaz, with resources estimated at 30 billion cubic meters of gas.
