Hidroelectrica has big plans to diversify and develop the production portfolio through new projects. The management of the company again requires the approval of the shareholders to hire external lawyers to fulfill the objective. If, initially, it was not agreed that Hidroelectrica should hire external lawyers, considering that the activity with its own forces can be diversified, the majority shareholder has changed its mind, according to investenergy.ro.

At the request of the majority shareholder, the Romanian state, represented by the Ministry of Energy, the agenda of the EGSM meeting on September 13 was completed. This requires the approval of the shareholders for the acquisition by Hidroelectrica of lawyer consulting services, taking into account the company’s objective to diversify its production portfolio through new projects, both through business transfer, acquisition of shares and shares or assets of CEZ and Enel in Romania.

At the meeting of the EGSM in September, the shareholders will be informed by the Board of Directors regarding the start of the actions related to the merger and acquisition process (M&A) for CEZ Romania and Enel Romania Groups at Hidroelectrica level, according to the agenda completed at the request of the Ministry of Energy.
