Hidroelectrica is obliged by ANRE to sell electricity for 2020 to the suppliers of last resort at a price of 102.5 lei/ MWh, even lower than the one for which it had 2019’s obligation, of 112 lei/ MWh, according to sources in the market.
The news is bad for the hydro producer, who was expecting for just a small increase in price, if not to maintain them at this year’s level, according to e-nergia.ro.
In addition, the company will have to supply around 1.84 TWh of electricity in the first half of 2020; added the maximum limits of the quantities that can be requested in the second quarter, of 1.31 TWh, it results a total of 3.1 TWh of electricity that Hidroelectrica has to sell at a low price, in the last year of the regulated market.
