Hidroelectrica Group reports a gross electricity production of 11,344 GWh in the first nine months of this year, down 22% compared to the same period in 2023, of which 11,131 GWh represents the gross production obtained from hydro sources, according to preliminary data published on the website of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, according to Agerpres.
For the third quarter of 2024, the company estimated a gross electricity production of 2,829 GWh, 21% lower than the same period last year.
Net electricity production represents 11,060 GWh in 9 months (-22%) and 2,767 GWh (-21%) in the third quarter of this year, the percentages being related to the similar periods of 2023. Net productions were obtained from hydro sources of 10,848 GWh in 9 months (-22%) and of 2,709 GWh (-20%) in the third quarter of 2024. Also, from wind sources, an electricity production of 212 GWh was recorded in the period January – September 2024, in 13% decrease compared to the same period in 2023. In the third quarter, electricity production from wind sources was 59 GWh (-21%).
According to the main preliminary key operational indicators of the Hidroelectrica Group for the period of three and nine months, Hidroelectrica purchased a quantity of 654 GWh of electricity in the first nine months of this year, down 50% compared to the same period in 2023, and in the third quarter – 237 GWh (-51%).
The total amount of electricity sold by the Hidroelectrica Group in the period January – September 2024 amounts to 11,714 GWh, down 24% compared to the similar period in 2023, and in the third quarter – 3,004 GWh (-24%).
