Hidroelectrica has launched the public procedure aimed at the acquisition of “lawyer consulting and legal assistance services” for listing on the Stock Exchange. Hidroelectrica will list 10% of the shares, according to the latest government decisions.

The estimated value of the contract amounts to 700,000 euro, excluding VAT. “Hidroelectrica has entered the last hundred meters in terms of the listing process. We are preparing intensely for this project, which we wish and we believe will be a successful one. We went through important stages, first of all by establishing a clear direction to follow in the matter of historical investments, which allowed us to obtain an unqualified opinion from the independent auditor, thus smoothing – since last year, the path to listing.

At this moment we are in the selection phase for equity adviser and today, here, we have launched the selection procedure of the legal consultant. We intend to use the capital attracted by listing to develop and strengthen the company and we hope that Romania will enter a stage of legislative stability and predictability so that investor confidence can be regained. Hidroelectrica has the potential to become a landmark of Romanian energy and we intend to capitalize on all the opportunities that the national or regional market offer. We are ready for competition on the European markets,” said Bogdan Badea, President of the Hidroelectrica Board.
