Hidroelectrica’s net profit increased by more than 55% after the first six months, amid the doubling of energy prices.
Thus, Hidroelectrica, the largest electricity producer in Romania, registered a net profit of 2.63 billion lei in the first six months of the year, up 56% compared to the first six months of last year. The company’s revenues also increased, from 3.2 billion a year ago, to 4.7 billion, in the first six months of this year, according to e-nergia.ro.
“For the financial year ended on December 31, 2021, on a consolidated basis, the company recorded total revenues of 6,489.3 million lei, an increase of 68.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, and a net profit of 3,085.6 million lei , up 113.8% compared to the same period last year. During the six-month period ending on June 30, 2022, Hidroelectrica SA paid an additional income tax of 351 million lei,” reads the report of Fondului Proprietatea.
