Ingeteam has installed in Romania 90 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity and 48 MW / 192 MWh in battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Between 2023-2024, the company is developing new projects that will add 55 MW and 205 MWh to the storage capacity in Romania, including a major 48 MW project with a storage duration of 4 hours, said Mauro Rivola, VP International Sales Export Director Solar PV, BESS & H2 at Ingeteam Italy, at the conference “Battery Energy Storage Systems – BESS Romania”, organised by Energynomics.
The company has over 80 years’ experience and a team of 3,500 employees in 15 countries. In addition to Romania, Ingeteam is active globally, managing BESS systems and power plants with a total capacity of over 10 GW.

So far, the company has installed over 2.3 GW in BESS, equivalent to 6.25 GWh of stored energy. These solutions are integrated into generation and distribution stations, contributing to the transition to cleaner and more efficient energy.
