Romania’s coal production exceeded 1.595 million tons of oil equivalent (toe) in the first ten months of this year, being 16.9% lower (minus 325,400 toe) compared to the same period in 2023, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Coal imports were, in the mentioned period, 154,400 toe, down by 11,400 toe (minus 6.9%) compared to January – October 2023, according to Agerpres.
