Romania imported, in the first month of this year, an amount of 0.795 TWh, 48.6% more than in the same month of last year, according to a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS), quoted by Agerpres.
National production was of 5.3 TWh, down 2%. Most production decrease was posted by wind turbines (20%) and conventional thermal power plants (5%).
The final consumption was of 4.9 TWh, 2.8% lower than the corresponding period of 2019. The street lighting registered an increase of 4.2%, and the population consumption increased by 2.6%.
Electricity export was of 0.5 TWh, increasing by 147%.
In terms of primary energy resources, they increased by 2%. Thus, the main primary energy resources totaled 3,115 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), and domestic production added up to 1,677 million toe, compared to the previous year.
During this period, electricity resources were of 6.194 TWh, up 2.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2019.
