The National Institute of Statistics (INS) revised, to 4.5%, from 4.6%, the estimations regarding the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per seasonally adjusted series in the second quarter (Q2) of this year compared to the same period of the past year, according to provisional data published by the institution.
The Gross Domestic Product – seasonally adjusted data – estimated for the second quarter of 2019, slightly exceeded 256 billion lei in current prices, according to Agerpres.
Estimates of GDP evolution by gross series remained unchanged compared to September, when INS published the first provisional data. Thus, in the second quarter, the Gross Domestic Product rose by 4.4% compared to Q2 2018 and by 1% compared to the previous quarter. The Gross Domestic Product estimated for the second quarter of 2019 (gross series) was almost 240 billion lei in current prices.
And the data for the first semester were slightly modified in terms of GDP by adjusted series, from 4.8% to 4.7% year/ year, and for gross series from 4.7% to 4.6%.
