The National Institute of Statistics (INS) revised to 0.9% (up from 0.7%) the real terms GDP growth estimate in the fourth quarter of last year, as compared to the previous quarter.
According to new provisional data released on Monday, the growth of the economy throughout the year 2018 was maintained at 4.1%, but on gross series the GDP was revised upwards to 944.22 billion lei in current prices, compared to 940.477 billion lei in current prices in the March 7 provisional data.
On the other hand, in the last quarter of last year compared to the same quarter of 2017, gross domestic product grew by 4.1% on gross series and 4% on seasonally adjusted series, according to Agerpres.
“The seasonally adjusted series of Quarterly Gross Domestic Product was recalculated as a result of the revision of gross Domestic Product for the period 1995-2006 and estimates for the fourth quarter of 2018, with changes to the version published on March 7, 2019, INS says.
