The Gross Domestic Product estimated for 2018 was of 940,477 billion RON in current prices, rising – in real terms – by 4,1% compared to 2017, most contributing the industry, with a share of almost 24% in GDP formation, according to a press release of the National Institute of Statistics, quoted by Agerpres.

According to the NIS, compared with the third quarter of 2018, Gross Domestic Product in the fourth quarter of 2018 was in real terms higher by 0.7%. Compared to the same quarter of 2017, GDP grew by 4.1% on the gross series and 4.0% on the seasonally adjusted series.

From the GDP use point of view, growth was mainly due to household final consumption expenditure, whose volume increased by 5.2%, contributing 3.3% to GDP growth.
