Turnover for retail trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased by 6.6% in gross series in January 2019 as compared to the same month of the previous year as a result of the positive results in sales of products non-food, fuel retail trade and sales of food, beverages and tobacco, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) show.
According to statistics, as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the volume of turnover for retail trade as a series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality increased by 6.1%, according to Agerpres.
Also, as series adjusted by number of working days and seasonality, in the margin of growth the volume of turnover for retail trade, sales of non-food products registered a leap of 8.3%, the retail trade of motor fuels in specialized stores of 5.7% and sales of food, beverages and tobacco, of 4.7%.
