Representatives of six fertilizer factories in the InterAgro group, controlled by businessman Ioan Niculae, announced on Friday that they are asking for an audience with Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă „hopefully” to identify together a solution for the resumption of production in all plants, now on hold.
At present, the audience request has already been sent to the Prime Minister on behalf of Amurco Bacău, Nitroporos Făgăraş, Chemgas Slobozia, Ga Pro Co Săvineşti, Viromet Victoria, signed by the directors, but also on behalf of Ioan Niculae, the shareholder majority of InterAgro, who also signed it, according to News.ro.
Factory representatives have told the Prime Minister that „are respectfully asking for an audience to discuss the situation of the Romanian chemical industry, which is currently in a major stalemate, in the sense that none of the chemical plants signing this application carry out any kind of activity production, the need for fertilizers for Romanian agriculture being almost exclusively assured from imports”, the letter sent to the Prime Minister states.
