The Energy Cogeneration Group company of the Interagro holdings owned by the businessman Ioan Niculae, which went bankrupt in September, put up for sale 3 facilities for the production of electricity and technological steam in cogeneration, located in Bacău, Zimnicea and Turnu Măgurele, which supplied the chemical fertilizers units owned by Interagro in these locations.

The three production units, which operate on natural gas, have a total installed power of 48 MW, and the cumulative starting price at the sales auctions is of about 4.76 million euro, according to profit.ro.

“From the statements of those who participated in the investment on the Amurco Bacau platform, it only worked for 72 hours, after the technological tests were performed, then it was stopped and preserved, as a result of the closure of the urea plants of the chemical units that used the technological steam resulting from cogeneration,” shows the judicial liquidator of the Energy Cogeneration Group, CITR. The power plant in Zimnicea has a capacity of 12 MW and a starting price, with associated goods, of 1.47 million euro, and that of Turnu Măgurele, a capacity of 18 MW and a starting price of 1.43 million euro.
