Investors in renewable energy projects should take the time to understand the complexities of the market in which they will operate and to adopt a long-term vision. At the same time, they must be aware of the risks they are exposed to, said Iulia Meiroșu, CEO of Verdeo Energy at the “Regional Approach Istanbul: Co-operation for profitable energy” conference organized by Energynomics and Enexus Renewable Energy.

“The construction phase is one of the most challenging stages, and it is essential to ensure that you have a team prepared to handle potential obstacles. Additionally, the bureaucratic process is lengthy, but there are specialists who can help you navigate these steps,” she explained.

Meiroșu also emphasized the risks associated with the construction phase, warning that many things may not go as planned. This is why it is important for investors to choose their partners carefully and think long-term.

“It is essential to select your partners wisely, both from an investor’s perspective and in how you analyze the market. As a risk management measure, you need to do your homework – understand which projects are worth pursuing and find serious developers willing to collaborate with you throughout the process,” Meiroșu added.
