PSD deputy Iulian Iancu declared for financialintelligence.ro (in RO) that he would retire from politics. “I consider closed the political chapter of my life; I want to thank my colleagues, all collaborators and partners”, he said, after refuting the speculations according to which he would leave PSD to the Romanian Ecological Party.
“It is true that I was invited, I thanked them and I told them that I will not go on with the political dimension in my life,” said Iulian Iancu. “I am not going to another political party, but I will remain a simple member of PSD, I will not be active anymore.”
For over 14 years, Iulian Iancu was the chairman of the Committee for Industries and Services of the Chamber of Deputies; he was considered the most qualified representative of PSD in the energy field. Iulian Iancu still holds the position of president of the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-CME).
“Professionally, I hope to do more things, considering that I will go to the academic and university area. I will offer professional expertise to anyone who asks me to”, he also told financialintelligence.ro.
