Enel X has in its portfolio, in Romania, ongoing photovoltaic projects totaling 10-12 MW, said Laurențiu Brumaru, Head of Sales & Marketing e-Industries, Enel X Romania, during the ONLINE conference “Green solutions for commerce, industry and buildings”, organized by Energynomics. The Enel X portfolio already includes numerous completed projects for large chain stores, such as Mega Image, Rewe (Penny), Kaufland, Altex or for various industrial players, such as Fox, Masofma or Gema Superb.
Enel X helps customers in the decarbonization process, in order to use the electrification and digitization processes as efficiently as possible, said Brumaru. “We try to create added value for our customers through these solutions that Enel X can implement for customers in industry or real estate – office buildings or commercial spaces,” he added.
Enel X also offers energy systems monitoring solutions. ”The EMS system – Energy Management System – can measure at any time not only the parameters of electricity but also of other utilities – gas, heat, hot water, compressed air, etc., providing a complete picture of a production unit or a project. Another important area to which we focus on is the distributed energy area, where we talk about photovoltaic solutions, cogeneration and trigeneration solutions, infrastructure, industrial equipment or lighting and any other equipment able to improve energy efficiency by increasing energy quality”.
At the same time, Enel X is, in Romania, in a full process of adopting energy storage solutions and flexibility solutions, demand-response solutions. “We tried to launch a demand-response product this year, unfortunately, the legislation did not give us all the leverage to achieve this, but certainly this concept will be launched starting in 2022.”

The development of photovoltaic systems has many advantages for the market. These include reducing the impact on the environment, independent electricity generation, expanding the degree of flexibility and energy efficiency and increasing profitability by reducing energy costs. At the same time, it helps manufacturers to obtain international certifications more easily, by aligning with European and local standards. ”Enel X offers the turnkey solution, which involves consulting services, design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance. We offer, through the financing area, a commercial credit, depending on the creditworthiness of the client, for a period of up to 24 months from the commissioning of the project. We are in the process of adopting bilateral contract mechanisms (PPPs). In this respect, we are also waiting for the proper legislation to enter into force”.
