Enel X supports the business environment in the energy transition, said Laurențiu Brumaru, head of the Sales & Marketing Department of e-Industries, Enel X Romania, during the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Oradea”, organized by Energynomics. Specifically, Enel X assists customers in the decarbonization process, through more efficient use of energy, through electrification and digitization. “Thus, we bring added value through new products and services,” added Laurențiu Brumaru.
“About 78% of total energy consumption will be supported in the next period, until 2050, from renewable energy. By 2040, 60% of growth will be supported by renewables, and by 2025, about 55% of the technology market will be dedicated to energy efficiency. Today, around 1,250 companies are leading the way in reducing their global carbon footprint. We all want this digitalization, to go together to a cleaner environment”, said Laurențiu Brumaru.

He presented the four main product lines of Enel X in Romania. The first is distributed energy, which identifies and implements local generation solutions – photovoltaic panels, cogeneration, trigeneration, industrial equipment and lighting solutions. Another is energy consumption monitoring solutions, which include utility bill management, energy management and energy consulting services. “The areas we focus a lot on during this period are energy storage systems and solutions for flexibility, such as demand response and demand-side management. In short, demand response refers to the option you have, as a consumer, to be active in the balancing market. You can thus get some remuneration because you provide your flexibility of consumption”, Laurențiu Brumaru explained.
He insisted on the need for energy efficiency actions to be accompanied – preceded and followed – by measures to measure energy consumption. “The energy management system solution is the best friend of the energy manager. With the help of such a measure, you start to feel that you have control over the factory, the building or the industrial park that you have under management”, said Laurențiu Brumaru. “The benchmark with similar industries that we offer is also very important. Because at group level we implement such solutions in various industries, at different clients, we have a solid set of knowledge that allows us to make comparisons between industries or, within a segment, among similar installations”.
Finally, the representative of Enel X Romania also referred to the business models through which the company makes available to those interested its solutions of energy efficiency, management of energy resources, but also distributed generation solutions.
