RELIANS, a member of RCI Holding, is strengthening its management team with the appointment of Livioara Șujdea as Executive Director. With a career spanning over 27 years in energy, including 16 years in top management positions, the new Executive Director will play a strategic role in developing and optimising the company’s activities. With operations in Iasi, Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, RELIANS provides consultancy in the framework of financing programmes such as the Modernisation Fund, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) or the Innovation Fund.
A solid career in energy
Livioara Șujdea is recognised for her expertise in corporate reorganisation, mergers and post-merger integration, business model optimisation and change management. These skills are essential in an industry under pressure from energy transition and increasingly stringent regulations. “After almost three decades in large energy corporates, I am delighted to join a prestigious organisation, recognised for its achievements in various development and infrastructure sectors. RELIANS is an important player in advising on accessing financing opportunities, a key area for Romania’s energy future,” said Livioara Șujdea.
Through more than 2,000 projects managed, RELIANS has helped to attract a total investment of €3 billion, supporting energy infrastructure, renewables, energy efficiency, digitalisation and innovation projects. The company is also a key partner in the development of strategic initiatives such as solar and wind farms, storage solutions (BESS), green hydrogen technologies and prosumer infrastructure.
As Managing Director, Livioara Șujdea will be responsible for updating and implementing the company’s strategy, as well as coordinating the integration of the Financial Pillar, an initiative aimed at improving operational efficiency and optimising RELIANS’ business.
A distinctive feature of RELIANS is its integrated – one-stop-shop – approach, which covers all stages of a project, from eligibility analysis and planning to project management and technical assistance in implementation. In addition, the company is the only one in Romania to cover the risks of financial corrections during the realisation of EU-funded projects, with a 100% success rate in its applications.
The decision to include Livioara Șujdea in the management team is seen as a strategic step for the company’s development. Ovidiu Rață, Managing Partner of RELIANS, emphasised the importance of this appointment. “Livioara’s extensive experience in reorganisation and integration processes places her in a valuable position for our team. Her contribution will play a key role in refining our strategy, modernising our business model and increasing our competitiveness in the professional services market.”
Since 2008, RELIANS has been part of RCI Holding, a conglomerate of 17 companies active in the fields of engineering, technology, financial solutions and management consulting. With an annual turnover of €64 million and ongoing projects in 18 countries, the group aims to provide integrated solutions for sustainable business development.
