The local market of electrical installations increased by approximately 12.6% in 2019, compared to 2018, and in 2020 it may reach 9.5 billion lei, according to KeysFin estimates. The largest electrical installation company in Romania was, in 2019, Imsat SA, with a turnover of over 257 million lei (3.2% of the total). The ranking is completed by Tiab SA (252 million lei), Electrogrup SA (226 million lei), Luxten Lighthing Company SA (139 million lei) and Schindler Romania SRL (138 million lei).

Both the investments in local infrastructure, including smart city projects and the public lighting area, which also includes Christmas installations and new constructions, have contributed to the market boom.

Moreover, compared to 2015, the increase in 2019 is of 23%, and what is important to consider is the different structure of the top 10 companies, which have in their portfolio different projects of electrical installations, both in the public environment, as well as in the private one, is shown in the KeysFin analysis, according to Agerpres.

The local electrical installation market totaled 6,400 companies in 2019, 4.5% more than in 2018 and 14.8% above the level of 2015, of which: 5,600 micro companies, 726 small companies, 87 medium companies and 4 large companies. The largest share of turnover was generated by small companies, with 38.6% of the total. On the other hand, more than 1,200 companies (19% of the total) had a zero turnover in 2019.
