Lucian Peneș is the new CFO of Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania – DEER

Lucian Peneș is the new financial director of Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania, the company announced.

With a professional experience of over 24 years in the financial sector, Lucian Peneș graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies, pursuing an MBA at the University of Sheffield.

He has held top management positions in important companies, at national and international level, gaining expertise in financial management, financial-accounting reporting and analysis, as well as financial consulting.

“I am happy to contribute, through this role, to the development strategy of the company, of the most important electricity distribution operator in Romania. The priorities offered by this position aim at aligning the company’s strategy with the principles of financial profitability, improving financial processes to ensure business continuity and aligning them with the company’s operational needs, ensuring an integrated image of the company’s performance and value (correlated with shareholders’ perspective and the economic market in which the company operates),” said Lucian Peneș.

“We are happy to have a colleague in the DEER team with Lucian’s experience and expertise, and I am convinced that his inclusion in the company’s executive management will bring the added value we needed in achieving the company’s strategic objectives,” said Mihaela Rodica Suciu, general manager, DEER.

Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), part of the Electrica Group, is the most important national electricity distribution operator, covering 18 counties, from three geographical areas, representing 40.7% of Romania’s territory.

The company operates in the counties of Alba, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Cluj, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Galați, Harghita, Maramureș, Mureș, Prahova, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Sălaj and Vrancea, offering services for over 3.8 million users, through a distribution network of about 201,082 kilometers.
