The issuance of the Ordinance 114/2018 was not justified, at least for the field of electricity, although at that time it was said that there were distortions in the market and therefore an intervention was needed, said the president of the Association of Energy Suppliers AFEER, Ion Lungu, in a conference organized by energy-center.ro.

“There was talk at that time that there were distortions in the market, that the market did not work and, therefore, an intervention was needed. I wanted to say that, in terms of electricity – I will refer only to energy electricity, not natural gas – there were several market analyzes conducted by the National Regulatory Authority (ANRE), the Competition Council and none of these analyzes showed that it would be a distortion of the electricity market. I believe the issuance of Ordinance 114 was not justified, at least for the field of electricity. Of course, the ordinance was issued and now we have to see how we can work,” said Ion Lungu, quoted by Agerpres.
