We continue to present the 2022 nominations for the Energynomics Awards, with the “Manager of the Year”. Five managers were nominated. Only one of the projects below will be rewarded at the Gala on December 8, but each company and all the people involved in these projects deserve our respect and the widest promotion. We thank all the companies and personalities who got involved in this effort to draw the image of the Romanian energy industry in 2022 through its successes!

Corneliu Bodea – ADREM
In 2022, Adrem celebrates 30 years of activity during which it contributed to the increase of energy efficiency, the modernization of the national energy system and the development of Romania. Adrem is an international pioneer in metallurgy and the largest provider of energy services with Romanian capital in the country. For 30 years, the group has contributed over 250 million lei to the community, collaborated with over 6200 Romanian companies and paid salaries totaling over 400 million lei.
Since 1992, the entrepreneur Corneliu Bodea has been actively involved in the development of the energy industry in Romania, from the position of CEO of the Adrem group and President of CRE.
Cosmin Ghiță – Nuclearelectrica
For the contribution of Cosmin Ghiță, as General Manager of Nuclearelectrica, to Romania’s energy security and stability, by supporting the achievement of national decarbonisation objectives.
As General Manager of Nuclearelectrica, Cosmin Ghiță contributed to the advance of investment projects – Refurbishment of Unit 1, construction of Units 3 and 4, as well as to the establishment of the strategy for the development and implementation of SMR, approved in the AGM and followed by the establishment of the project company RoPower.
Cristina Loghină – CEZ Vânzare
For Cristina Loghină, Invoicing Service Manager within CEZ Vânzare, the year 2022 was a difficult exam, which required adaptation to all the legislative changes and the motivation of colleagues in the team, with passion for the work done. Cristina Loghină worked intensively and for a long time, with responsibility, a lot of dedication and involvement, beyond the obligations in the job description.
The complex legislation, with rapid implementation, with at least 6 major changes in 2022 required the manager of the Billing Service to transpose all the legislative changes that concerned the billing process into personalized calculation algorithms according to the client portfolio (domestic, non-domestic, differentiated single rates, MEE pensioners, etc.) in record time. Conducted internal and external workshops with consultants to explain how the created algorithms mesh with elements in SAP. Cristina is behind the more than 11,500,000 invoices issued in the first 10 months of 2022, respectively 13,800,000 invoices that will be issued by the end of 2022.
Gabriela Dobrescu – DEER
Director of the Asset Management Division within DEER, Gabriela Dobrescu has proven managerial performance in all professional activity, embodied in a considerable number of results and involvement in large-scale projects, such as the merger of distribution companies or the acquisition and implementation of an Advanced Management System of Electricity distribution network assets.
The mentioned project is being implemented in 4 homogeneous areas of the DEER area, with European funding, through the “European Regional Development Fund, through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020” and aims to improve the performance of distribution assets. The implementation of the system will ensure the processing of information about the status of distribution network assets, as well as the standardization of procedures and processes used for asset management, investments and maintenance, including replacement of equipment and devices following failures, disturbances or incidents.
Ioannis Kalapodas – European Energy
Ioannis Kalapodas is the leader behind the Romanian office of European Energy aiming to become one of the significant market players in Romania regarding Green Energy, but also supporting of the local Power-to-X market. We are now entering an era in which green electricity is key to unlocking CO2 emission challenges in the heavy transportation, chemical industry, and heating sectors. In this new era, European Energy has green solutions that ensure we truly can reach the global goal of a carbon-free world, as we have already taken pivotal steps into the world of Power-to-X and green heating. This will be a huge step for Romania and our planet.
