Manuel Costescu resigns from SB of Transelectrica

Manuel Costescu has resigned from the Supervisory Board of Transelectrica, following his election on the list of Chamber of deputies on behalf of Union Save Romania (USR), told energynomics.ro USR’s campaign director, Matei Paun.

”Transelectrica SA informs the investor public that at its meeting of 14 December 2016 the Supervisory Board acknowledged the resignation of Mr Manuel Costescu from his capacity of member in the Supervisory Board of Transelectrica, beginning with 13 December 2016. At present the Supervisory Board carry out activities with the members in office as of the date of this Communiqué”, writes a release of the company sent to the Bucharest Exchange.

Previously, Manuel Costescu served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment Relations, which left to participate in elections in Romania Save Union (USR) on Deputies for Diaspora list.

Costescu was secretary of state since June 2016, having previously held the same position at the Department for Foreign Investment and Public-Private Partnership.
