The transfer of the license that ExxonMobil holds for the Neptun Deep perimeter of the Black Sea should be made by Government decision, recommends the Minister of Economy and Energy, Virgil Popescu, in a Facebook post.
Energy sources told Agerpres on Monday that ExxonMobil is negotiating with Lukoil and PGNiG to sell the stake in the Neptun Deep perimeter of the Black Sea.
“I have repeatedly stated publicly that a priority of my mandate is for the Black Sea operations to be carried out as soon as possible. These operations also represent a strengthening of national security, not just for economic development. I wish Exxon would continue operations in Romania. If for internal reasons they want to leave, I recommend that they respect the Romanian legislation they used when they entered, ie a GD for the transfer of license,” Popescu wrote on his social media page.
