Romania will not access any loan from international institutions if it comes with conditionalities, said on Tuesday the Minister of Finance, Florin Cîţu, mentioning that at present our country is financed from local and international markets.
“We mainly use local markets to finance ourselves. So far we have not been penalized. So far we have managed to finance ourselves, although we have increased the budget deficit, although the prospects given by the rating agencies are not among the best, but I repeat, prudent and transparent management of public finances so far has allowed us to finance ourselves at better rates. Of course the second source of funding remains to finance ourselves from international markets. We did it in March, at historic low costs. We are still looking to finance ourselves on the international markets and you will see, when we do, we will announce this. The third source of financing is the international financial institutions, including the IMF. We will not access any loan from any international institution, whatever it may be, which comes with conditionalities, “said Florin Cîţu, according to Agerpres.
