The Ministry of Energy has chosen to work with PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Advisors & Accountants and George Butunoiu Group for selecting and placing the administrators in the companies under its authority.
On March 9, there were already signed the contracts for support services for recruiting administrators at:
- Management Company of Ownerships in Energy SA
- Oltenia Energy Complex
- OIL Terminal Constanța SA
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Energy announced that at least 10 subordinated companies will be driven by private managers. Also found on the communicated list are Electrocentrale București (ELCEN), Hidroelectrica, Electrocentrale Grup, CNU, Electrocentrale Constanța, Midia Thermoelectric Plant, The Company for Autonomous Technologies for Nuclear Energy (RATEN) Mioveni and the National Society for Mine Closures Valea Jiului.
Recruiting the managers based on the corporate governance ordinance will cost the ministry about 4.3 million RON. The Ministry of Energy estimates that this year will receive 1.123 billion RON from the companies in which it is a shareholder.

In November 2015 the Ministry of Energy signed a framework agreement for support services for recruiting personnel, for the selection and placement of administrators in the subordinated companies, with five companies / associations:
- Transearch International SRL
- The association composed of Choice Management & Consulting SRL and Boyden Global Executive Search (Austria)
- The association composed of PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Advisors & Accountants and George Butunoiu Group
- The association composed of The Searchers Advisory Group SRL and Fast Foward SOLUTIONS SRL
- Lugera & Makler SRL
Following a re-tendering procedure the association composed of PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax Advisors & Accountants and George Butunoiu Group was chosen. Within 10 days of signing the contract, according to the task book, the provider must submit an initial report that outlines the recruitment strategy, the timeline for the project implementation, the criteria for selecting candidates and the content of the file for the candidacy submission and the development of the announcement for the selection of candidates.
After the Initial Report is approved by the Ministry, the recruitment company is required to publish the notice of selection of candidates, announcement to which all the specialists in the field are invited to apply, who believe that they meet the required criteria of professionalism and integrity.
