Romania is ready for the cold period we are going through, and the National Natural Gas Transmission System, as well as the Electricity Transmission Network operate in optimal parameters, informs the Ministry of Energy.
“Coal stocks have increased compared to last week, the National Natural Gas Transmission System operates in optimal parameters, while the Electricity Transmission Network also works without syncopes. Energy carriers and distributors are ready to cope with possible increases in consumption after the following weekend, when a drop in temperatures is forecast,” it is mentioned in the release quoted by Agerpres.
On Wednesday, the meeting of the Winter Command, coordinated by Niculae Havrileţ, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, was attended by representatives of institutions and public authorities responsible for energy, as well as those of economic operators in the electricity and natural gas sector.
According to the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu, the National Energy System operates in parameters, has no syncope and there are no problems in ensuring the consumption of natural gas and electricity, and the authorities are ready to offer solutions in case of unforeseen situations.
